March 27, 2013As many of you know by now or have seen if you've been keeping up with our social media networks we had quite the time down in Austin this year for SXSW. With literally something happening every second over there, as a company it's not always the easiest thing to determine who, how, and where you want to party with...however, this year, our decision making process was actually quite easy. When our good friends at Innovative Leisure Records came to us with an opportunity to sponsor their showcase we knew that it would just be absolutely silly to pass it up. With a label chalk full of rising stars and a beautiful mixture of sound that spans all spectrums, we're claiming IL as the next greatest Indie label to rise up out of Los Angeles. So, as they say, the rest is history and we teamed up for what was one hell of a party! We hope you enjoy our photos with the video below, and if you weren't fortunate enough to make it out this year then hopefully you will the next, as we will undoubtedly be continuing to work with IL and throw great parties in the process... *We wanted to go for a little bit of a different look this year and instead of shooting all digital we took it back to the roots and shot a bunch of 35mm and old Polaroid film when possible. So, in case you were wondering, yes these were cross processed and we shot 100 series Polaroid film stock. Enjoy! The back of the Allah Las van at SXSW. Probably a dead body or two in there as well! The one and only Hanni El Khatib...probably the highlight of our SXSW! Phil from the Tijuana Panthers. Superhumanoids rocked the house. When old film expires and goes bad...Hanni caught mid set. BBNG. BadBadNotGood. Super jazzy and the most mellow dudes ever. Hanni El Khatib. Phil from Tijuana Panthers. Superhumanoids. Our other perennial favorite, the Allah Las! Hanni keeps you up out of your seat and constantly moving. So good! Hanni. Bass Drum of Death. Superhumanoid. The crowd was psyching pretty much all day long. Can somebody say Lonestar? The Superhumanoids. Our new friends BBNG. The Tijuana Panthers in full effect. Really dig these guys as well. The Allah Las. The calm before the storm...watching the Allah Las soundcheck can never really get old.
