Description
Wear it like a sling, use it like a backpack. The Ranger Sling XL is the newest member of the popular Ranger Sling family. We listened to you – and developed this bag from the ground up. It’s a perfect size. Larger than a traditional sling, and smaller than a backpack. One of the key features of the Sling XL is that it has a padded laptop compartment that accommodates a 13” Macbook or similar laptop. This is a huge deal for a bag with such a small footprint!
We’ve also incorporated our patented Clamshell zipper system, which allows for multiple access zones depending on preference. There is a generous organizer on the outside, along with our signature faux-fur-lined phone pocket. Inside are EVA padded dividers which can be configured to fit each shooter’s needs.
This Sling holds a ton. Use it for multiple bodies, or multiple lenses, drones, and more. Even space for a change of clothes can be worked into the divider layout. The back is padded airmesh for breathability and there are cinch straps on the bottom for a tripod or jacket.
All of these features are wrapped up in a water-resistant, ballistic nylon complete with a hideaway rainfly for even more weather protection. We are super proud of this bag and believe it is the gold standard of Slings.

United StatesBest Sling Bag I’ve Ever Bought!
I had to travel to SF for an engagement session (I am in LA) and all I took was this bag. I fit a Nikon Z9, 85mm, 24-70mm 2.8, 50mm and a 13 inch MacBook in here with no problem. Carried it on the plane with no issues as well. Easily one of the best bags HEX has ever made.

As a happy owner of so many HEX bags this new mid-size sling/pack is the perfect complement to my camera. It opens from the front like a shell and carries like a sling. Everything is within reach and it’s very high quality. You won’t find a better quality bag that’s equally as useful.

Well constructed and surprisingly comfortable. It could use an inch or two in width to accommodate slightly larger cameras and a few D rings for accessories. It is still my go-to bag for carrying lens and things I need for mosts shoots and is bearer than many of my $300 bags!

This sling is the perfect size to fit my kit and anything else I need for a day out shooting. That and hex has really thought out how to maximize space to cut down on bulk. Great camera bag!!!

Was looking more for a duffel bag type opening. Didn’t realize it opened like it did. Wanted something I could open while wearing it. You have to sit this bag down and then unzip. Didn’t love it.
