I've owned countless camera bags over the years and yet HEX always surprises me. I bought the sling first a few years ago and it's become my go to travel and light setup bag. The construction, feel, accessibility were phenomenal. So that in mind, I needed a bigger bag and the upgrade for longer/more complicated shoots. The easy access hatch up top along with the huge amount of space within the bag, and great padding have been a real testament to the continued quality of the company. The back panel is great for security. The straps are located so that there is very very little strain on the zippers, which is phenomenal with back loaders. There is so much more space then you think in this bag. 10/10.
I think the best part of this bag is that it doesn't look like your standard run of the mill camera bag. Perfect for being lowkey, and not alerting any people in your surrounding that you have thousands of dollars worth of equipment in your bag. Couldn't recommend a better bag for the urban photographer/ videographer.
2 weeks in and I’m loving my bag. Soft lined pockets, quick access area for my accessories and I love the DSLR section!
I’ve only had the bag for a couple weeks but it is amazing. It has been perfect. I bought a few other bags for comparison to see which would be best and I returned the others very swiftly. This bag is lightweight and feels like it is a part of my outfit. I’ve used it to shoot/cook at a pool party. I have had room to keep my clothes. A must buy for sure!
Hands down. If you’re on the fence, just get it. Get it right now. Absolutely blown away with the quality, the price, the usability, and the best part is the opening on the inside for the main compartment. Basically it safeguards you if you’re traveling so no one can swing open your pack, I mean I never thought it would be useful but it’s the best feature. There are tons of packs out there but they seem way overpriced - this is the most well designed pack I’ve ever used. Hands down would recommend
